Weddings and special events are enjoyed by the participants and their guests, therefore we strive to NOT have a large portfolio of private moments.

We received permission from the bride and groom to share a few images from their wedding, and their wedding provides us an example of how we handle a very difficult location.

The wedding was early afternoon on very bright, 100 degree day, the wedding took place under very small arboretum and the guests sat above and behind the service. The pictures presented will show the effort we used in balancing the shadows and bright sun light. Instead of selecting a programmed exposure we constantly worked off an aperture priority system, allowing us to control the depth of field (how much of the picture is in focus) so the guests didn’t over shadow or detract too much from the service it’s self.

When presented with a difficult natural light situation, we will generally program the cameras to take three images of each shot, one normally exposed, one under and one over exposed enabling use to generally GET the shot.

The cameras we use are all Canon’s, allowing us to switch lenses on the fly and always have what we need when we need it. The lenses are Canon’s top of the line L series. We generally have at least three camera bodies with us in case of equipment failure or special needs.
